Swift Steel Ltd is a metal fabrication company, providing a range of high quality steel solutions. It was formed by Darren Barr and Jonny Stilwell who have a combined 40 years experience working within the steel fabrication and construction industries.

We are focused on providing an excellent service from tender stage through to completion of your project. You will have a single point of contact throughout your scheme and we will take on the design liability and assist with value engineering to ensure you get the best possible product.

The Directors

Darren Barr

Darren is a highly experienced, driven and motivated Steel Fabrication Manager with extensive knowledge in managing a Steel Fabrication team producing the highest standard of work. He is accustomed to working in a challenging and fast paced environment, particularly when dealing with retail projects with tight deadlines.

Darren has a wealth of experience working with steel. Following a 5-year apprenticeship he achieved City and Guilds NVQ Level 4. His experience includes managing personnel and a diverse range of projects. He was a Site Supervisor / Welder Fabricator for Mayflower Fabrications Limited and a Works Manager for Brody Forbes Limited.

Jonathan Stilwell

M.Sc.(SURV) B.Sc.(Hons) MCIOB

Jonathan has worked in the construction industry for 20 years during which time he has been a client side project manager at a property development company, a freelance building surveyor, a freelance quantity surveyor, and most recently owner of a small but successful construction management company. Jonathan set up JJA Stilwell Ltd. (trading now as Swift Construction Management) in 2008 and has built up a wide network of local contacts and companies in the construction industry.

Jonathan has considerable experience in the procurement of works packages in the construction industry. Swift CM build complex and high value private dwellings and regularly procure steel structures on behalf of our clients. Their projects range in value between £250k to £6m and they are responsible for all technical, commercial and health and safety on their sites.
